just like him!

Have you ever seen this guy that lives in KB that carries a big ass radio on his shoulder where ever he goes? I don't know his name but all I know is that he carries a big radio and he is mentally challenged. 

Yesterday I was at the hospital and I saw a few teenagers carrying their handphones and listening to the radio via their handphone. It was set on loudspeaker so I can hear what they're listening.

My point is, are these teenagers mentally challenged if what they're carrying wasn't handphones but radio instead? In my head, these people who listen to the radio via handphones ON loudspeaker are just like him. and this leads to other question, what happened to earphones? If you can afford a hp, why can't you buy earphones?
